Unique and original work, oil on canvas of considerable size by the American painter and composer Mark Kostabi (1960), dating back to the year 1995.
Extraordinary proof of the characteristics of this artist, rare for subject and year of execution, coming from a private collection.
Please note, in fact, that in that period (at the dawn of his success) Kostabi began to reinforce his pictorial personality with his humanoid forms, faceless and timeless figures, which over the years, will distinguish him more and more and place him as an heir artist to Andy Warhol.
The canvas is signed and dated on the front; signed, dated and with title on the back.
It includes the artist's authentication and our certificate of authenticity, complete with photo, description, year and dimensions.
Recognized as an international artist since 1987, the year in which his works are requested by the galleries of Japan, United States, Australia and Germany, he founded "Kostabi World" in 1988: his studio, gallery and office in New York.
In the mid of 90's he was also active in Rome, where he became a real model for Italian artists.
In his works we often find constants, such as the citation of other works and the representation of subjects that recall the figures of the metaphysical mannequins of De Chirico.
Mark Kostabi, in a declaration, says about himself: "My goal has always been to create the most interesting art possible.
My art should enrich the life of the observer, both of a visitor looking at my paintings in a museum, of a collector looking for a long time at a Kostabi in his house, and of a group of students reflecting on one of the my murals, more and more numerous, performed for a public service.
My images give joy, even if they tell stories of loneliness, confusion and isolation".
