Opera omnia of Saint Giovanni Crisostomo (Antiochia, 344/354 - Comana Pontica, 14 September 407), famous Roman archbishop and theologian.
Composed of five folio tomes, for a total of six volumes (the second and third are bound together), the work contains all the writings concerning the famous Saint (known as the Golden Mouth), composed of a very large number of homilies of exegetical nature and not.
French edition dating back to the year 1687, in Latin, with a beautiful initial incision and various decorations.
Good general conditions, good tying in parchment of each tome, hard covers, signs of time and of woodworm in some parts, second page of the fifth tome detached, frontispiece with tears in the second, fifth and sixth tome; a lack on the spine of a tome (see photos).
Rare edition, difficult to find.
